Description

Another edition of Northern Ireland’s favourite talk show with a variety guests and performances.

The first guests to join Kelly in the studio is a football legend Danny Blanchflower, followed by former Manchester United and Northern Ireland goalkeeper Harry Gregg. The two watch 1961 archive footage of Danny holding the FA Cup for Tottenham Spurs and discuss their lifelong career in football. In the second part of the programme Gerry Kelly welcomes ITN reporters Colin Baker, Penny Marshall, Vernon Mann and a cameraman Sam Gracey from Dungannon. The crew just returned from Romania where they reported on the Romanian Revolution of 1989. The group talks about dangers that TV crews face to bring such stories to the public and share some footage reporting from Colombia and Afghanistan.

In the last part of the programme, Kelly meets NI team manager Dick McColgan and a young gymnast Colin Close and talk about the upcoming 14th Commonwealth Games. The show entertains the audience with live performances of the resident duo Bacaan, June Tabor and Noelle with the band Graffiti.
