This vintage inspired short film follows the story of a lonely woman through the tale of her shoes, as she goes from sad starlet to the belle of the ball. We roll back time to the 1920’s to the jazzy scenes of the speakeasy, and the dancers pull out all the stops with their moves like the Charleston and the Shimmy. Featuring glamorous costumes and historical props, including a show-stopping vintage car, this film gives an insight into the kinds of dancing Our Social Space platforms.

The inspiration behind Lost Sole was considering how to turn props into a story; utilising the people who make up Our Social Space to celebrate the way dancing brings people together.

Our Social Space renovated their home in East Belfast with the hard work of their volunteers, who turned the room into a multi-use dance studio and film screening space to meet each week, which you can see featured in this film.
