Description

This short film is made up of talking head interviews and film footage documenting the Bridge NI group in discussion, as well as clips documenting all of the different activities they have engaged in since its beginnings.

Linda and Becca speak about how they started Bridge NI, having collaborated on founding a mental health and wellbeing charity for women, with an aim to help women who may be experiencing social isolation or other struggles in life. They discuss the range of events that have taken place over the years, including dance classes, paddleboarding, flower arranging sessions and to name just a few, and we see footage of events like their line dancing classes, karaoke parties, museum visits and more.

The key takeaways the group had upon reflecting on their time together were improved mental health, learning new skills and feeling a strong sense of community. The women approach their memories with curiosity and humour through their shared discussion.
