The children's series The Romper Room was one of the most beloved and popular of UTV's early roster of programming with its famous host Miss Adrienne (Adrienne McGuill). However, many have forgotten that there was an even earlier children's series with the same host called For the Very Young which appears to have been based around reading stories.

While there are no known complete episodes of The Romper Room known to exist, we are delighted that this single example of For the Very Young has survived. You will also find a link below to a live event of For the Very Young at the Ideal Home Exhibition where McGuill met some of her young fans.
