Description

A report for Good Evening Ulster on some big boxing news. Following the successful defence by Barry McGuigan of his European title in March 1985 came this press conference to announce the big news that Barry would be granted a shot at the world title against the renowned world champion Eusebio Pedroza.

Barry's management explain the difficulty in securing this challenge through long negotiations and McGuigan explains that his only regret is that the fight was not taking place in Belfast in front of his fanatical supporters, but in London. Nevertheless, it is the news all his fans want to hear, and one of Ulster's most famous sporting sons is about to step into the limelight.
