Description

Gerry Kelly introduces a follow-up to a story in his chat show five months earlier and shows some footage from then of Geoff Smith from Mansfield who tried to set a new world record for being buried underground. Geoff now comes into the studio explaining his motive of trying to regain the record his mum had once held. He describes how he lost the use of legs for some time after his successful stint underground and how he had to use a wheelchair and walking sticks.

Gerry, however, breaks the news to Geoff that he now has a rival and that Frank Collins from Cork has claimed he will set a new record. He speaks over the phone to Frank who seems very vague on why he wants to do it or what plans he has made. Geoff and Frank speak to each other and Geoff throws down a challenge of going head to head in competition - but Frank seems to back off!
