Description

Fairies hold a unique place in Irish culture and folklore. They are known to be mischievous and have a capacity to cause harm to anyone who crosses them. There are many ring forts around Ireland. These are said to be the domain of the fairies.

It might sound like a load of hokum, but a group of construction workers found their lives become more complcated once they inadvertently built over a fairy ring in the Mourne Mountains. Three out of four of the workers were hospitalised with various injuries. The foreman apologised to the fairies and hoped that they would accept it. Construction work ceased until the matter could be dealt with.
