Description

Ivan Little reports from Lisburn on a bizarre world record attempt being staged by Ulsterman Willie Nugent. Already a record holder for standing motionless for 13 hours, he is now attempting to set a new record for eating ice lollipops - he's hoping to guzzle between two and three hundred. His physiotherapist, massaging him in preparation for the event, bravely suggests that perhaps he should have consulted his doctor beforehand.

As Willie begins to tackle the mountain of orange lollipops, another record holder is in his corner adjudicating - Earl Bird, who recently set the world record for non-stop yodelling  (also in this collection). Comedian Gene Fitzpatrick is also there, claiming to be Willie's official defroster. Watch to see if the orange-lipped Willie achieves his target.
