Description

Peter Wood spent years as a rally driver before he lost his sight. His love of the sport wasn't hampered. He set land speed records, travelled the length of Great Britain, and even drove a car across tightropes in the United States.

With the help of former Formula 1 driver John Watson, Peter is navigating the Kirkistown motor racing circuit. Their aim is to publicise the charity Action for Blind People and to fund raise for a mobile resource centre. The drive gained a lot of attention and even featured in the hugely popular radio series, The Archers, with series character Eddie Grundy making a visit to watch Wood's journey.
