Description

A report on the Sympathetic Hearing Scheme, designed to make customers with hearing impairments more welcome in shops. Workers at the Anderson McAuley department store attend a training session in the scheme, led by John Carberry, a Deaf Awareness campaigner and sign language tutor. The shop assistants learn basic sign language and how to facilitate people experiencing hearing loss.
