A military drill in 1950 around the grounds of Winchester college. The clip shows boys, including Gary (Godfrey Garrett) Campbell, marching around the grounds of the college in formation. Two years later, at 18 years of age, Gary was commissioned in the service of the 1st King's Dragoon Guards.

The film was probably shot by John Dermot Campbell and it is part of the Campbell Family Collection.   

Gary Campbell gained the rank of Captain between 1954 and 1963 in the North Irish Horse (Territorial Army.) He was a director of Henry Campbell & Company Ltd between 1957 - 1972 and a chairman of Henry Campbell Group Ltd between 1972 and 1981.
