Description

A UTV report from the IFA launch of the merchandise for Northern Ireland’s participation at the World Cup in Mexico. Four years earlier there had been controversy when the IFA selected a cartoon mascot called Yer Man who had a cigarette hanging from his mouth. This time round the IFA played it safe with less memorable but safer merchandising. However, that Mexico 86 font still remains truly iconic.
