Description

With Northern Ireland having qualified for the 1986 World Cup in Mexico following their nerve shredding draw with England at Wembley, the race was now on for players who had been enduring injuries to get fit in time to be named as part of the squad. The Northern Ireland captain Martin O’Neill, and hero of the 1982 campaign Billy Hamilton were two who were interviewed by UTV on their prospects.
