Description

For many years it was spoken of in almost mythical terms that there had been a game between Northern Ireland and Scotland just before the Mexico World Cup when both teams were based in the USA ahead of moving to the host nation. As it was an unofficial game there appeared to be no details of it. But now this UTV news report from the time has surfaced to prove that the game did take place against a Scottish side managed by Manchester United’s Alex Ferguson. No spoilers here for the score.
