Description

Northern Ireland football international Jimmy Quinn had scored one of the most important goals in the team’s history when he struck the winning goal against Romania in Bucharest during World Cup qualifying in 1985. However, the World Cup dream turned sour for Quinn when he picked up a lingering foot injury in training at the tournament and he had to watch from the sidelines instead of being a certain starter on the pitch. Jackie Fullerton of UTV spoke to him about his disappointment.
