Description

Norman Stockton made this report for UTV's Good Evening Ulster on the dissolution of the Northern Ireland Assembly at Stormont. With only Unionists continuing to appear at the Assembly, but refusing to conduct normal business in protest against the Anglo-Irish Agreement, secretary of state Tom King has taken the decision to shut it down. Ian Paisley is interviewed on the subject and discusses how he plans to continue the Assembly in the new setting of Belfast City Hall, albeit in unofficial form.
