Description

A report by Ivan Little for Good Evening Ulster on the appearance of DUP deputy leader Peter Robinson at a Dundalk court, following his 'invasion' a week earlier of the village of Clontibret in Co Monaghan. The report shows Robinson, accompanied by fellow DUP MPs Ian Paisley and the Reverend William McCrea, setting off by car for the court date, followed by other supporters. At the Irish border Gardai stop various supporters from proceeding and confiscated a number of potential weapons such as hockey sticks and metal gardening tools. Assembly member Jim Wells is interviewed at the scene.

In Dundalk, a counter demonstration is held by nationalists, who attack loyalist cars and rain several petrol bombs onto a group of loyalists who are being escorted by the Gardai. Courtroom sketches fill in proceedings inside the court and Ian Paisley and Peter Robinson are interviewed outside afterwards, as well as a Gardai representative.
