Description

Tom King, secretary of state for Northern Ireland, was due to attend a press day at a new housing development in Belfast's inner city. However, a group of DUP Assembly members and councillors including Nigel Dodds, Sammy Wilson and Jim Wells, knew of his scheduled appearance and turned up with placards to protest against the Anglo-Irish Agreement. They were said to be armed with eggs to throw at Mr King.

Here, Dodds is interviewed at the scene, while Government minister Rhodes Boyson speaks to Good Evening Ulster about the destructive nature of such protests which, he says, are harming Northern Ireland's reputation around the world and putting off potential investors.
