Description

Jeanie Johnson reports for Good Evening Ulster from Newry during the by-election campaign brought about by the mass resignation of Unionist MPs in protest at the Anglo-Irish Agreement. In the constituency of Newry and Armagh, Bill Nicholson of the Ulster Unionist Party has a majority of just 1,500, and his seat is considered to be at risk from the SDLP's Seamus Mallon. He is interviewed about the election strategy as are Mallon, Jim McAllister of Sinn Fein and Pat McCusker of the Workers' Party.
