Description

A Belfast trades unionist is interviewed for Good Evening Ulster ahead of the planned one-day strike by loyalist workers in opposition to the Anglo-Irish Agreement. He stresses the need for it to be non-violent and hopes that there will be no paramilitary involvement in the proceedings. Terry Carlin of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions is also interviewed, voicing the opinion that the strike will end up being a divisive act. Outside Stormont, Peter Robinson is confident that workers will support the strike and that it will send the appropriate message.
