Description

A report on the 1995 publication of the Framework for Agreement document, as free copies are made available to the public. The document is the work of the British and Irish governments and proposes the setting up of a new Assembly and the creation of north/south co-operation bodies, while also moving to reassure Unionists that the principle of consent will ensure that there cannot be a United Ireland without their approval.

The report shows the first copies being snapped up from a Post Office within minutes. An extensive series of vox pops with the public on the streets shows a wide range of opinion on its contents.
