Description

A report for UTV Live as the peace talks at Stormont recorded their first anniversary. The most problematic issue remains the question of arms decommissioning. Ian Paisley of the DUP and Bob McCartney of the UKUP both condemn the position of David Trimble, who has indicated that he is prepared for the talks to move ahead with the issue being dealt with in tandem, rather than it being a prerequisite.

Ken Maginnis of the UUP, David Adams of the UDP and Mark Durkin of the SDLP are all interviewed on the subject, as is Northern Ireland Secretary Mo Mowlam, who says that the ball was very much in Sinn Fein's court in terms of their inclusion in talks.
