Description

With talks taking place at Stormont involving all parties except Sinn Fein, the Provisional IRA unleashed another massive bomb attack on the British mainland at a Manchester shopping complex. This report for UTV Live carries portions of their statement on the bomb and their accusation that the British government has squandered an opportunity for peace.

Sinn Fein's Gerry Adams is also quoted in the report as hoping for an end to the campaign and stating that, although his movement is split on the issue, he has personally been in contact with the IRA to urge them renew their ceasefire.
