Description

A report by Ken Reid for UTV Live on the visit by President Clinton to London to speak with John Major on the Northern Ireland peace process. Just the day before, Major and the Irish taoiseach, John Bruton, launched the Twin-Track Initiative to deal with the issues of decommissioning of arms and the setting up of all-party talks. Clinton offered his full support for this proposal, and praised the two leaders for the risks they had taken. David Trimble is interviewed afterwards and seems to give the proposals some cautious backing.
