Description

A report for the UTV news on the doubts surrounding the participation of Sinn Fein in the all-party Northern Ireland Forum. Elections had been held to establish the make-up of the body which would form the basis of talks aimed at bringing an end to conflict in Northern Ireland. However, the issue of the IRA's ongoing campaign seemed set to exclude Sinn Fein with only parties signing up to entirely peaceful methods beong invited into the debating chamber. Gerry Adams and the Northern Ireland Secretary of State Peter Brooke were interviewed.
