Description

Jane Loughrey reports for UTV Live on the aftermath of a double car bomb attack upon the British Army's Thiepval Barracks in Lisburn. The explosions, which cause widespread damage, are an embarrassing indictment of the security procedures within the base and add further to the downcast mood surrounding ongoing peace talks.

Northern Ireland Secretary Sir Patrick Mayhew is interviewed about the attack, as is Gerry Adams, who reiterates his call for Sinn Fein's inclusion in the talks process, saying that it is "time to stop talking at each other and start talking to each other."
